Three Months
Can't believe my baby girl is three months old already!
Some 3-Month milestones:
Love my little Gracie!
- She is starting to laugh now! (It's more of a gasp/squeal but its still pretty dang cute!)
- She has also become quite the little thumb-sucker these days. For a long time she couldn't figure it out. She would put her palm up to her face and suck on her thumb while her other four fingers poked her in the eyes. She's really got it down now though!
- She is also SO so close to rolling over but still hasn't done it yet! She just ends up rolling onto her side over and over, which eventually scoots her around in a circle so that she is facing the opposite direction.
Love my little Gracie!

Happy Valentine's Day!
Here is our attempt at a Valentine's Day photoshoot. Unfortunately, Grace was only interested in doing serious poses. This little cutie saves all of her smiles for off-camera. (Isn't that how it always goes?) Happy Valentine's Day anyway!
Love,

One year older and wiser too.
Okay, technically he isn't one year older until tomorrow, but Chipper is certainly looking wiser these days with his silvery hair.
In honor of him turning two, here is a birthday interview with Chipper.
(Yes, I'm doing this. Just humor me.)
How old I am: Two (almost)
My favorite food: Beggin' strips. Also, anything humans are eating. And I mean ANYTHING. Including lettuce. Or my absolute favorite, pickles.
Things i like to do: Wrestling with dad, chewing the caps off of water bottles, stealing things and hiding them under the couch, chasing bunnies, going to the dog park AND best of all, making attempts to lick inside people's noses and/or mouths.
Best friends: Zja Zja and Woody, some of the dog park regulars. Oh! And Oliver. (Even though we haven't met yet because he lives in Florida.)
Favorite place to go: Dog park and Grandma and Grandpa Jensen's house. I start crying whenever we get within a two mile radius of either one because I get so excited and desperately try to escape from the car.
Favorite tv show: Too cute! (Puppy edition.) Okay, I think mom actually likes this show more than I do. She is always trying to get me to look at all of the puppies on the screen.
Sooo for those of you who thought I would stop treating chipper like my child once grace was born, I apologize for disappointing you. Although, he definitely gets FAR less attention now than he did before. And even so, he has been such a good dog and has been really cute with grace.
He has yet to chew any of Grace's toys or hide any of her things under the couch. You probably don't understand what a feat this is for chipper, but trust me, its HUGE. Plus, during those first few weeks (or months) when grace was waking up to eat every hour at night, Chip was always there to keep me company. He would groggily walk out into the living room and look at me like, "Alright, alright, I'm up," and then hop up next to me on the couch. Is it really pathetic that it kind of made me feel better and actually helped me get through some of those really hard nights? I really love the little guy.
So Chip, even though you may beg for food at the table or bark whenever you hear a doorbell on tv (we dont have a doorbell) and accidently wake up grace from a nap, you are still the best little dog I could ever ask for.
Happy birthday Chipper Pup!

Addiction
I have an addiction. But really. The other day, this conversation actually happened:
"Keith, have you seen that navy and white striped shirt of mine?"
**He walks over to our closet**
"You mean this one?"
"No, not that one."
"This one?"
"No, that's a dress."
"Oh, you mean this one?"
"No, it's almost the exact same as that one, but the one I'm looking for fits me better..."
OKAY WHY DO I OWN THIS MANY NAVY STRIPED ITEMS OF CLOTHING??
Keep in mind, this picture only includes navy and white striped items. I have significantly more things that are just plain navy or navy and white of some other pattern.
Seriously though, I know it's bad because when I looked at Gracie's side of the closet, I realized she already has a nice little navy stripes collection of her own going on.
She sported some stripes today at church, in fact. Isn't she the cutest??
Soo, it looks like ill be avoiding purchasing anything navy and white for a while.
Does anyone else have wardrobe color issues?? Or is that just me?

Visitors
My family and Keith's brother Trevor came to visit us this last weekend for Grace's blessing. It was way too short of a trip! I wish my family could come visit every weekend!
We took everyone to eat at Babe's Chicken, which has southern comfort food like fried chicken, chicken fried steak and anything else containing five million calories. They have the BEST biscuits and the sides are all unlimited (as are the calories, I'm sure). So, you get the point. It's delicious.
After Grace's blessing on Sunday, we all came back to Keith's parents house for lunch. I made kalua pork, rice, chinese chicken salad, pineapple and rolls. Keith says this is the classic "Carter family event" meal (which is kind of true). Basically, it's what we make anytime we have a family event and are feeding a big group. But it's always delicious! Unfortunately, I didn't take any pictures of the spread.
Grace also watched her first Superbowl on Sunday, without pants, I might add. (Is there a better way to watch football?) She's way ahead of me, though. I'm pretty sure I didn't watch my first Superbowl until I met Keith in college.
Grace, Paige, Grandma and Grandpa watching the game.
When anyone comes to visit or when I'm on vacation, I have a hard time squeezing in any activities that don't involve eating, but we did manage to go to the Sixth Floor Museum in downtown Dallas. It's a museum all about the assasination of John F. Kennedy. The museum is inside the old schoolbook despository where JFK was shot from. It was actually pretty interesting, even though I already knew mostly everything from watching too many JFK conspiracy specials on the history channel.
Grandpa and Paige listening to the audio tour.
Grace thought the museum was a bore.
This is just above the sixth story window, where JFK was shot from.
There is a white x permanently marked on the road, where he was assassinated.
The best part of the weekend though, was that Grace got to see her cousin, Paige! I love that they are so close in age. I can't wait until these little girls can have cousin sleepovers and go to EFY together and do other fun cousiny things. I wish they lived closer to us!
Thanks for coming to visit! We miss you guys!

Blessing
My family came into town this last weekend for Grace's baby blessing. It was so fun to see everyone! Keith did a great job on the blessing and Grace was a champ. She didn't even cry once! (During the blessing, that is.) The rest of sacrament meeting was another story.
I wish I would have gotten more pictures of Grace in her dress, she looked way too adorable. I think I may have to stage a post-blessing photo shoot to show how cute her dress is.
So happy my Dad and Trev came to help bless her!
